        "description":"The CoMet 3.0 Tropics mission will succeed the missions CoMet and CoMet 2.0 Arctic. By means of CoMet 3.0 Tropics, we intend to extend the study to tropical wetlands and also support validation of upcoming GHG satellite missions.\n\t\nCoMet 3.0 Tropics aims at reducing uncertainty in global wetland CH4 estimates, a complex task due to the dispersed nature of emissions and inter-annual variations. Current data coverage in the tropics is limited, with ground-based and satellite observations facing challenges. Airborne field campaigns show much promise to bridge these gaps.\n\t\nDuring the field campaign, RD94 dropsondes will be released to obtain the wind field for CH4 flux estimates from the airborne remote sensing instruments. The dropsondes will also be fed into the GTS to improve the forecast and reanalysis over the campaign area.",
